Weltklasse Zürich is one of two IAAF Diamond League finals in 2018. At the legendary athletics meeting, the world's best athletes compete to win the prestigious IAAF Diamond League champion title. For the final in Zurich, athletes must qualify through the previous Diamond League meetings. This guarantees that only the best and most consistent athletes of the season will compete in Zurich. Within the framework of "Weltklasse Zürich im Hauptbahnhof", sports fans and passers-by experience one of the most spectacular track and field disciplines up close. The top stars of paul vaulters present themselves to the Zurich audience shortly before their Diamond League final in Brussels.
A whole week of Weltklasse Zürich
The legendary athletics meeting can be enjoyed for a whole week. The starting shot will be fired on Tuesday with our Kids clinic "Jungend trainiert mit Weltklasse Zürich". The pole-vault event at Zurich main station and the meeting on Thursday evening at Letzigrund stadium will be the sporting highlight of Weltklasse Zürich 2018, and the UBS Kids Cup final on the following Saturday will also provide the appropriate stage for the next generation of track and field athletes.
