Noah Lyles and Sandi Morris know what it feels like to be in the spotlight in the sold-out Letzigrund Stadium. As athletes they belong to the world elite. Noah Lyles is the fourth fastest 200m sprinter of all time. Sandi Morris is one of three female pole vaulters who cleared 5m. Now they experience Weltklasse Zurich for the first time from an unusual perspective - during the closing ceremony as musicians live on stage. The trio Baba Shrimps, which includes Adrian Kübler (vocals, guitar), Moritz Vontobel (drums), and Luca Burkhalter (keys), on the other hand, have plenty of stage experience with more than 140 concerts in eight countries. Together they celebrate their world premiere of "Souevenir"live.
The international athletics community combines many outstanding individuals. Sandi Morris and Noah Lyles no doubt are two examples. Weltklasse Zürich is dedicated to shining a light on the individual athletes and to sharing their stories with the public. Weltklasse Zürich is very proud to have been able to sign up two stars of the sport for this special project and also to have found Baba Shrimps. They managed to combine their own passion for music with a curiosity for our sport and to convey the feel of both worlds in a fantastic song.
